Students and families are supported through a wide range of services that promote well-being, learning, and community connection. From free before care and counseling to tutoring, family resources, and transportation, these supports help remove barriers so students can stay focused and families feel confident.

Before & After School Care

We provide convenient care options that support families before and after the school day.

  • Free before care begins at 7:30 AM and includes breakfast
  • Aftercare offered through partnerships with BF Empowerment and Letha’s Kids Daycare (340 Ira Avenue, Akron)
  • BF Empowerment includes free transportation for students

Counseling

Students receive consistent emotional support through on-site counseling services.

  • Provided in partnership with Family First, Red Oak and Peter James
  • BF Empowerment offers additional counseling and transportation for participating students

Family Resources

We connect families with support and supplies to ensure students are ready to learn.

  • Resource Room provides free items including deodorant, socks, lotion, and toothpaste
  • Middlebury Chapel donates space for graduation and community events
  • LeBron James Foundation has donated winter coats for students
  • Christ Child Referral Center (Student Uniform Assistance)

Food Services

Nutritious meals are served daily, with free breakfast and lunch available to all enrolled students.


Health & Dental

Student health is supported through on-site and mobile partnerships.

  • Mobile dental services provided through the SMILES program

Tutoring, Saturday School & Summer Programs

We offer academic support to help students build confidence and meet grade-level expectations.

  • After-school tutoring is available two days per wK from 4:00 to 6:00 PM for Grades 1–8 (free for families)
  • Summer school programs provide additional academic support

Transportation

Yellow bus transportation is available through Akron Public Schools.

  • Students who live between 2 and 5 miles from campus receive transportation through Peterman
  • Students living under 2 miles may apply for supplemental service

Parent Involvement Opportunities

We are launching a monthly Parent Café to help strengthen school-home communication.

  • Families can meet with the Principal to discuss initiatives, expectations, and shared goals
