Join the Wellness Committee!
The Local Wellness Policy is a written document that guides a local educational agency’s (LEA) or school district’s efforts to establish a school environment that promotes students’ health, well-being, and ability to learn. The Wellness Policy Committee has been created as an effort to manage and develop our school’s healthy habits.
» A Wellness Committee will be appointed to each school
» The committee may include parents and guardians, students, representatives of the school nutrition program, physical education teachers, or any other interested stakeholder that is aligned with the goals of the policy
» The committee shall meet a minimum of four times per year
This is a great opportunity to help promote and support student health and wellness, and create a positive, safe, and health-promoting learning environment. Please contact mealcounts@accelschools.com for more information.

Case Prep Reads!
Here at Case Prep we ALL read! Reading is the key to Success. We have developed some activities to promote a strong reading culture in our building.
- Every class will have sustained silent reading every day
- Students will carry a book throughout the day including at lunch and specials
- Teachers and Staff will also carry a book all day
- Teachers and Staff will hang the attached sheet outside the classroom to identify what they are reading
- Students will also have the opportunity to share what they are reading with their teachers and peers. This could be partner sharing, small group discussions, and whole group activities
- We will be having 2 book fairs. One in the Fall and one in the Spring
- We are starting Book-It with Pizza Hut
- Teachers will send home book club magazines to order books for home.

Early Kindergarten Program
We are excited to announce that Case Preparatory Academy will be implementing an Early Kindergarten Program starting in Fall 2020! The Early K program is a dedicated class that focuses on preparing your child for academic success.
Developed with the ACCEL Schools Academic Team, our Early Kindergarten Program focuses on each child’s physical, social, and cognitive development. Our teaching approach uses meaningful playtime and learning materials that are centered around young children’s natural curiosity and desire to learn.
- Free, full-day program for children ages 4-5
- Full year (August – May) program
- Applicants must turn five years old by January 1st
- A brief Kindergarten assessment is required during the registration process
Our Early Kindergarten Program teacher will be in regular communication with you throughout the year to discuss your child’s progress toward his or her individual learning goals.
“Starting school is the beginning of a special journey for each child,” says Principal Johnson. “Our Early Kindergarten Program gives Case Prep students a strong start and foundation for lifelong learning.”
